Chapter 01
One crew, one weld, four kinds of iron work
Wilson Fence lists iron fencing, wrought iron fencing, ornamental fencing, pool fencing and security fencing as separate services because each one answers a different question a homeowner asks. But on the ground it's the same skill doing the work: certified welders who can lay a straight run, curve a rail around a pool deck, or add scrollwork to a lakeside property without the joints looking like an afterthought.
That's why a single crew can do an arched ranch entrance one week and a curved ornamental pool fence the next. The material and the welding certification are the same. What changes is the shape the property asks for and, on a pool job, the height and gate hardware needed to meet the safety standards a pool fence has to meet.

Ornamental detail without losing strength
Scrollwork looks decorative, but every curl and finial still has to be welded to hold. The ornamental iron fence on a lakeside property in the gallery isn't bolted trim over a plain rail, it's built into the fence itself, so the detail doesn't work loose the way an add-on piece would over a few Texas summers.
Security fencing asks for the opposite instinct: fewer flourishes, a tighter picket spacing, and hardware that deters rather than invites. Wilson Fence treats it as the same iron discipline aimed at a different job, not a separate product line with its own compromises.
Chapter 03
Rust and corrosion are the failure mode, not an afterthought
Metal fencing fails from the surface in. Wilson Fence's own repair list names rust and corrosion on metal components as one of the specific reasons a fence or gate needs attention, right alongside storm damage and a sagging leaf. A weld that isn't primed and painted properly is a rust line waiting for its first hard rain.
That's the reason painting isn't optional on iron work here. Every fence and gate the crew installs gets painted, and rust treatment and prevention is listed among the repair services, so an older iron fence that's already showing surface rust doesn't have to be replaced outright.
How a job actually runs
Mike comes out and looks at the ground before anyone quotes a curved pool run or a scrollwork panel. Iron doesn't flex the way wood or vinyl does, so the posts have to be set to the grade that's really there, not to a plan drawn up sight unseen.
Once it's installed, the crew paints on site to match the rest of the property, the same way they do on every fence they build. A pool fence gets built and gated to meet the safety standards a pool enclosure has to meet; a security fence gets built to the spacing and height the site calls for.

Detail work
Scrollwork that's welded in, not bolted on
On a lakeside property, an ornamental run can carry as much scrollwork as the owner wants without turning into a maintenance problem later. The decoration is part of the same weld as the rail, so it moves with the fence instead of against it.
